my first (and currently only) tattoo.  mayan hieroglyphics - the left means mother, the right father.  i have mayan and aztec heritage, which is why i chose the symbols.  the stargazer lilys surrounding, represent me.  i’m an only child, very close with my parents and i got this about a week before i moved away to college - my mom came with me and held my hand through the whole thing!  done @ cyclops tattoo in san francisco by the amazing Jason.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS, mainly because I have a passion for the mayan culture. & I actually have my name in mayan hieroglyphics down my spine, and I had a pendant made in real gold/silver when I went to see the ancient mayan ruins/villages when I vacationed in Mexico in the summer of 2009.
